Our Name is Kevin & Chantel Newman. we are much like the Brady bunch because this is our second marriage for both of us and we each have three kids. My love for animals started at a very young age. I can remember living in Lakeside Park and having 10 dogs, 4 rabbits, and a cat. I'm pretty sure my parents would say other animals also but what really stuck with me was those 10 dogs. I would play endless hours in the backyard with all of them. From that point as I sit here today I still love animals with dogs being my favorite.
When growing up I would watch the Tom & Jerry show and see that big muscular Bulldog and think when I grow up I'm going to have me a Spike. Well many years later that wish came true. My husband surprised me with a Brutus. He was so lovable and soo cute. After the breeder told us some things about English Bulldogs and how to care for them and other important information I was ready to be a momma. The first stop was the Vet the next day and to my surprise they tell me that my bullie was older than the breeder said he was and that he had limited registration and oh another thing he has demedetic mange. When I tried calling the breeder he said that the manage was normal and would give me the cost of the Vet visit for all of the medications that he was on now. (Still waiting for that money). My mistake was no receipt for sale, waiting on the promise of AKC registration papers that was coming in the mail, no shot records or vet history because he was qualified in Mexico and took care of that himself.
After 6 months of excessive shedding and major hair lose I still loved my Brutus. When an outof town trip returned home and my Brutus was not there for his nightly belly rub I was devastated. I had left him in the backyard by his favorite picnic table where he would layout and sun bath until I got home. So what happened? The meter reader came into the yard and didn't latch the gate back all the way. They knew Brutus was harmless and would not hurt a fly. Brutus wondered off and through tears and sleepless nights I have yet to see my baby. My hope is that who ever picked him up and chose to ignore the tags with his information, that he is well cared for and still getting his nightly belly rubs.
After that I vowed that I would never have another dog again, it was just too hard on me and then two years later again my husband says lets have another baby. I was surprised and oh so happy. Since we couldn't have a baby together we wanted something that represented us together and that something was our Honey Baby "Romo". We did it right this time went to the breeder seen both parents talked with other breeders intown about this breeder and compared notes. Our baby was six weeks old when we first laid eyes on him. My husband picked all the pups up and looked at this special one and he said this is the one. Indeed he is the one, Our Honey Baby"Romo".
Its the love, temperament, eyes, teeth snores and farts is the reason why we do this. Romo and the Honey Girls: Sadie, Lacy, and Tankette are the most playful, kind, and gentle dogs that you will ever see.One look at these Honey Babies and you'll be hooked on Bullies.
